• Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro

  The default base for our PlayStation installs — console licensing sorted, and 8 Nm with the boost kit is plenty for a living-room rig. Years of installs, zero comebacks.

• Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals V2

  Dependable load-cell set we fit on most console builds. The brake wants a firmer elastomer stack for heavier drivers — a five-minute change that makes it punch above its price.

• MOZA R5

  Our go-to first direct drive. Compact, quiet, and MOZA's software has matured to the point we no longer keep a workaround list for it.

• MOZA SR-P

  We've fitted these to a dozen starter rigs; the load-cell brake is the real thing at this price. The throttle spring is light out of the box — we usually swap in the firmer one.

• Simagic Alpha

  Torque delivery is superb and the quick release is the best in its bracket. Alphas we installed two years ago are still on daily duty without a recalibration.
