Choosing a sim racing display
Displays decide how much of the racetrack you can actually see. A single monitor is the simplest, sharpest option. An ultrawide adds peripheral vision over one cable. Triple monitors wrap genuine side windows around you and remain the field-of-view-correct standard for serious screen racing — you look into the apex instead of at it. A TV suits living-room console builds where distance and seating are fixed.
Balance size, resolution, and refresh rate against the hardware driving them. Triples at high resolution are a serious GPU workload, and in racing a high refresh rate does more for your sense of speed and car control than resolution alone. Screen size only translates to realism when viewing distance and in-game FOV are set to match — which is also what makes braking markers arrive at real-world speed.
TrophySim installs include FOV calculation and physical screen alignment, so the view out of the windshield matches the geometry your brain expects.
